Power Rangers Henshin Max Week 4 Now In Production

And the topic this week is, yes, Power Rangers Samurai (2011). We look at the latest info, as well as take apart and review the first trailer and the first few minutes preview of Episode 1. We also speculate about the games as we look for info on them and their possible launch dates this year (for the DS, PSP and Wii).

Only 1 month and 5 days (February 5th) before the premiere of Power Rangers Samurai on Nickelodeon!

We relaly need to get back on track! Let's see... I still need to replace PSPVC again after my computer became stupid and started acting up, but once I do that we'll return to reviews and podcasts which is good since 2011 is already beginning to shape up as...

- We now know what the 2011 Super Sentai Series will be... which in turn will be the 2013 Power Rangers series is Power Rangers doesn't get all hiccuppy along it's revival.
- We need to get all up to date on reviewing Kamen Rider OOOs, wrap up and cmplete Heartcatch Precure, see and review the movies out lately from Japan, and go back to Samurai Sentai Shinkenger as we near the opening of Power Rangers 2011 (and get an update on that).
- New Anime needs to be picked to be reviewed now that Heartcatch Precure is wrapping up.

So much to do, stay tuned, and sorry again for the long delay.

Wrapping up Power Rangers Henshin Max Week 3 today

Wrapping up the third week of Power Rangers Henshin Max today. Should be out shortly. Today's cast is the first covering Power Rangers 2011, including first info on the series and the first of five months of coverage of the series that is the source material for Power Rangers 2011 (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, 10 episodes reviewed a month).

Next cast, in two weeks on Friday, continues our review of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger as well as reviews of Power Rangers Dino Thunder and Ninja Storm.

Henshin Up Max Week 11 released

Henshin Up Max Week 11 is out and available.
This week's cast counts down to the one hour special Henshin Up Max Week 13 with our first look at Kamen Rider OOOs, and reviews of Dogu-chan Episode 1 (the 2500th fan sub for TVNihon.com) and Heartcatch Precure episodes 17 to 20.

Next up shortly is Week 12 and next week (September 10th) Week 13 and our first review of Kamen Rider OOOs. Stay tuned.

Power Rangers Henshin Up Max Week 1 & 2 available

The first two weeks of Power Rangers Henshin Max is now available for download. Check the download links below, and place report any broken links.

Week 1 is premiere as we talk Disney's short lived "remastered" version of the first Power Rangers series, as well as spot reviews of Power Rangers : Lightspeed Rescue and it's Japanese Super Sentai counterpart Kyukyu Sentai Gogo Five.

Week 2 is all original first series Power Rangers (un-remastered).

Next week is Week 3, and our first week coverage of the upcoming Power Rangers 2011 series (based on Samurai Sentai Shinkenger).

Power Rangers Henshin Max Week 1 available

The premiere week of Power Rangers Henshin Max, the first of two Power Rangers specific casts, is now available. This week we're talking Original Power Rangers Remastered (the last touch of Disney before the franchise reverted back to Saban, now Saban Brands), Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue and Japanese Super Sentai counterpart Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive.

Power Rangers Henshin Max Week 1 Update

Starting Sunday in one week and running throughout August (while the game casts are on hiatus for the near future while I get up to date review casts done) we launch my own fully produced and hosted Power Rangers cast.

So seven days remain to Power Rangers Henshin Max Week 1, featuring stuff on Power Rangers Remastered (the last content done by Disney before turning it back over to Saban Brands), Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue and Kyukyu Sentai Go Go Five.

As for Power Rangers Decade? That's set for September but stay tuned for updates as we roll along towards release in terms of casting, first casts and Power Rangers Decade Max Week 1 featuring my crossover podcast with Ninja Commander kicking off Decade.

So lots is happening in the coming weeks! Stay tuned for more info on all the happenings as we move forward.

Henshin Up Max Week 10 Now Available

Phase 3 is now in full swing and we start Phase 3 by updating our review of Heartcatch Precure bringing to an end the Magneta era of Heartcatch Precure fansubs.

Next week we'll be reviewing Ultraman Mebius in our Reviewer's Choice section, and update you on guest caster weeks (and finally announce it's launch and details hopefully, knock on wood).

Two to three hosts will be worked into the cast every week, going into the past present and future of the franchise now that it once again has a future.

With New Era of Saban Power Rangers Comes Power Rangers Podcast

Only this time I'm looking for a small tight cast of people to do the cast that I'll script and write and play a role in as a secondary character.

Power Rangers Decade Max, covering Power Rangers past, present and future, comes as word comes in that Saban has regained the rights to Power Rangers and is going to launch a new series of Power Rangers starting with the reimaginaging of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger... yes, Power Rangers is back in 2011, and it's starting with Shinkenger. The wait, and maybe even the dread is at last over.

While it'll be a long time before that happens I'll keep you up to date on the new cast I'm gathering for Power Rangers Decade Max, who'll star in it and when the first week cast is coming. Stay tuned.

Work begins on Henshin Up Max Week 10 tomorrow, and should be out on time (the start of Phase 3, which I'll announce shortly in terms of content, stay tuned).

Henshin Up Max Week 8 Released

Henshin Up Max Week 8 is now available, and wraps up Phase 2 as we review Episodes 14 and 15 of Kamen Rider Decade (the two Den-O episodes) and the Chou Den-O slash Decade crossover movie, as well as Kiki's Delivery Service (first Miyazaki movie review with more coming in Phase 3).

Next week it's our special Star Trek The Animated Series review cast (tying into Star Trek Weeks in DVD Parade Max) and in two weeks we begin Phase 3. Stay tuned!

This Week's Henshin Up Max

Henshin Up Max returns with Week 8, featuring Kamen Rider Decade slash Chou Den-O movie, and my reviews of two of my favorite Miyazaki movies (Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away).

That brings Phase 2 to an end, and next week after (Week 9) launches Phase 3 of reviews. But more news on that Sunday when the new casts are out. Stay tuned.

One Week Off

No casts this week. Sorry. We'll be back next week with Henshin Up Max Week 8 (the final cast of Phase 2 covering Kamen Rider and Reviewer's Choice). Then after that it's Week 9 and the start of Phase 3... hopefully by then we're making progress on guest casters, but if not I have a few all cast ideas floating about to kick around but more information on that in two weeks. Stay tuned.

Today's Update : Power Rangers podcast?

Certainly I am not implying that Power Rangers has a future at present, short of Disney relinquishing the rights to someone else and they bring it back with new stuff... but there is more than enough content at present to justify just a podcast covering American stuff like Power Rangers, the one failed attempt at Kamen Rider in America (Masked Rider), stupid retarded spinoffs trying to cash in on Power Rangers and so on. But will that ever occur? Once we reach a following of... hmm... 12 followers we'll put the vote out again and see again if there's interest in a Power Rangers themed cast (a once every three weeks kind of cast). Stay tuned.

No Releases Next Week

Next week we'll give Henshin Up Max a week off so we can get new blood flowing, and since we had zero reaction to Jukebox Henshin might as well retire that until interest perks on it. So we'll be back in two weeks with what I hope is the end of Phase 2 with reviews from Kamen Rider Decade and Den-O as well as my two favorite Hayao Miyazaki movies, Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away.

Then Phase Three. Still planning to have guest hosts (though that is a slow meandering process) and hopefully first talk up the September 2010 Kamen Rider series Kamen Rider 000's... we'll see. Stay tuned, updates as we go along.

Friday - Henshin Up Max Week 7
It's Super Sentai week and we're doing Engine Sentai Go Onger with reviews of Episodes 1 to 5, the first movie and Go Onger vs. Shinkenger the Movie.
Next week is going to be an off week for a once in three week cast then we bounce back in two weeks with Henshin Up Max Week 8 (drawing to the close of Phase 2).

Saturday - Gaming Max Week 7
Doubling up casts so that each week has one once in three weeks cast going for it. This week it's all Mario with reviews for Mario Party, Mario Kart and Super Mario Galaxy both the original and 2010 sequel.

Sunday - Game On Max Week 1
Opening week and we'll be reviewing Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility, Farmville and FAmily Feud for Facebook, Buzz! on the PSP and Advance Wars on Game Boy Advance.

UPDATE
Cast is coming up to 2/3rds done, only one more cast to finish up and then plowing straight on into Week 8's casts (but word on what's with Week 8 and it's third week cast will be on Sunday, stay tuned for more info).

Technically it's still Thursday late as I write this but by now it's Friday in other parts of the world so let me just say right off the bat that we're putting out the first of maybe three podcasts out this weekend with Henshin Up Week 6 coming out today (later today)!

WORK IN PROGRESS UPDATE

Presently working through Henshin Up Max Week 7, coming up to being halfway through. Hope to have it done by tomorrow at the latest.

Henshin Up Week 7 is the Super Sentai slash Engine Sentai Go Onger cast and we're reviewing Go Onger Episodes 1 to 5, the first Go Onger Movie (the over 30 minute movies) and Go Onger vs. Shinkenger (or is that the other way around).

And we'll stay here with the next cast and start work on Jukebox Henshin Max Week 7 right after Henshin Up Max Week 7 which should be done by the end of the week.

Kamen Rider O's in September

Well other than the fact there is going to be a new Kamen Rider this Fall there really isn't much to say about this newest addition to the franchise... yet... but I'm going to dig around and see what I can find out, and begin reporting on it soon in Henshin Up Max. Stay tuned.

Today's Word : 2 Days to Henshin Up Max Week 6

Only two more days to Henshin Up Max Week 6, this week featuring Random Selection and our first all cast coverage (this time of Gekisou Sentai CarRangers).

Presently I'm working on Week 7 now (Engine Sentai Go Onger/Super Sentai Week)... wow, I need to really start packing in work to get ahead. At least until Phase 3 when we begin to have guest podcasters come in, so today approaching another guest caster proposing a crossover cast for Phase 3. (So far I got one person interested, looking for more).

Since we're doing guest podcasters on Phase 3 no topics have been picked yet since that'll be what the guests will be doing. So stay tuned for more info once we begin working on a cast.

This Coming Week's Max Casts (update)

Next week is Week 6 so only Henshin Up Max is out. Other cast info can be found at Game On MaxBlog which I'll assemble later today.

Week 6 it's Random Review and we're preluding Week 7's Engine Sentai Go Onger week by reviewing another auto themed Super Sentai in Gekisou Sentai CarRangers (which you probably know better from it's American release as Power Rangers Turbo).

We'll review Episodes 1 to 11 this week, quite abit for one episode (the most to date we reviewed of one series in one episode actually). Coming this Friday, stay tuned!

Week 5 : Henshin Up Max and Jukebox Henshin Max

Week 5 is the start of Phase 2 of reviews and we kick off Week 5 with animation! We start off by reviewing Transformers : Car Robots Episodes 1-8 from the year 2000 (which of course became Transformers Robots in Disguise here)... so why Car Robots? Because it's in Japanese, and uncut since abit of RinD was cut due to sensitivities after 9-11 so if you want to see how it aired originally you have to watch this... or not, since actually this series disappointed me greatly.

One series that never disappoints me is Heartcatch Precure, and we come back to it with our second review this week! (Yes the image is from Yes! Precure Five... hmm... I'd like to review more soon, hint hint...)

Opening Day... at Week 5?

Well I didn't think I needed an additional blog to update daily but it looks like if I'm going to get the word out about my podcasts I have to do more to get the word out... so here we are.

Every week on Fridays (unless some unforseen delay keeps it off for a few days or a week) I'll be posting a brand new podcast up for Henshin Up Max, and a new music cast called Jukebox Henshin Max on Saturdays. Sundays is one more cast but that's covered by sister blog Game On Max which I will create soon after this is up (and link to today).

Henshin Up Max? Every week we review through such categories as new to fairly new stuff within the past few years like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and Animation. We also have two slots for more classic old school stuff (or random things) in Reviewer's Choice and Random Review. So we have quite abit to talk to you about every week, and we just started Phase 2 reviews with this phase covering the new Chou Kamen Rider Den-O movie stuff, Kamen Rider Decade, Gekisou Sentai CarRangers, Engine Sentai Go Onger, Heartcatch Precure, Transformers Car Robots and this Phase's Reviewer's Choice (still to be determined).

Phase 3 we hope to team up with guest reviewers for the phase but more on that in the near future. Stay tuned.
